About

Built on structure and straight answers

Blackhorn Construction Limited carries out domestic and small commercial building work. The approach is simple: understand the property, plan the work properly, and build it to a standard that holds up when it is finished.

How we work

The work, in the right order

Most problems on a building project come from sequence: work starting before the structure is settled, trades arriving before the thing they build against is ready. Getting that order right is most of the job.

That is why the first conversation is about the property and the constraints, not about finishes. Once the structural position is clear, everything else, cost, programme and detail, follows from it.

We take on work we can run properly. If a project is not a fit, we will say so and point you in a better direction rather than take it on.

Principles

Four things that do not move

01

Say what it costs

A breakdown of costs before work starts, and a conversation if something on site changes that. No surprise invoices at the end.

02

One point of contact

The person who quoted your job is the person you speak to while it runs, and the person who walks the snagging with you.

03

Tidy sites

Floors protected, dust controlled, waste taken away as it is produced. You are living next to this work while it happens.

04

Finish it properly

The last ten percent is the part you notice every day. It gets the same attention as the structure.
